This week, I felt the need to do a Flashback Friday post to pay tribute to one of my favorite videos of all time; not because of its cinematography, but its ability to make me smile every time I watch it. Many of you may remember, Fonzworth Bentley, commonly known as Sean (Puffy) Combs’ assistant in MTV’s “Making the Band.” A few years ago, 2011 to be exact, Bentley released a song titled: “Everybody ft Andre 3000 and Kanye West” on his C.O.L.O.U.R.S–take a breath– (Cool Outrageous Lovers of Uniquely Raw Style) album.
I absolutely love this video! Bentley and Andre 3000’s face expressions are priceless! The musical composition is nice, smooth and funky, just right for the old school dance moves they perform in it. Speaking of dance moves, Kanye West needs to get his rhythms checked because he was offbeat and awkward on several dance moves. I imagine that the videographer got frustrated to the point of cutting him out of most of the choreography scenes, then using his awkwardness as a comedic piece de resistance at the end of the video — I was certain he was going to trip and fall:
